Course Description:

The Year 13 Construction programme uses units from the Building, Construction, and Allied Trades Skills (BCATS). Assessment occurs through practical projects, written and oral tests, completion of cutting lists and photographic evidence. Students will focus on a large construction project which will take most of the year to complete. All students will complete a BCATS health and safety standard and two industry-level safety standards. As the project-based Unit Standard requires a large project to be completed, with on-going evidence gathered from it, successful students will not be awarded their credits until the end of the programme.
