Sport Leadership NCEA Level 3
UE:This is NOT an ‘approved subject’ for University Entrance. However, the Level 3 credits may be counted towards an NCEA Level 3 Certificate which is also required for University Entrance. Standards marked (N) may be used towards meeting the Level 1 Numeracy requirements.
Background:Open to students from Year 13. Cannot be done in conjunction with Level 3 Physical Education
Course Description:The programme will develop leadership techniques with a focus on the role of the coach in sport, delivering sport skills and correct exercise technique. The MIT Certificate of Achievement in Sport Leadership programme provides an opportunity for students to experience the tertiary education environment while still at secondary school. The course is done in partnership with Manukau Institute of Technology.
