Art (Design) NCEA Level 3 requires skills and knowledge from studying Year 12 Art (Design). Students who have only 8 to 12 credits should consult with the Faculty Head about their likelihood of successful progress. It is preferred that students taking this course have the ability to clearly communicate and write in English for Internal assessments. All students must have a good understanding of Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop programmes as a requirement of the Design course.Course Description:
The aim of this course is to develop individual skills and understanding of contemporary design practice. The independent development and resolution of concepts explored, provides a valuable basis for further study in Art and Design in related fields at tertiary level. Students will be required to engage in a yearlong body of work that is individualised and self-driven.Achievement Standards:
