Open entry to all students.Course Description:
An introduction to the Travel and Tourism industry that will give students a head start in the qualifications that will lead to employment in New Zealand’s fastest growth sector. At Level 2 the focus is on basic skills that are essential to a career in travel and tourism. These skills include communication, team work and mathematics. Note: Students who successfully complete both 12TRT and 13TRT, and also achieve at least 6 NCEA Level 2 Literacy credits in oral and/or written language and 8 NCEA Level 1 Numeracy credits, are able to apply for the Travel and Tourism Certificate by the end of Year 13. The standards offered in this course may be altered at the discretion of the Head of Department.Unit Standards:
