Background:
Successful completion of Level 1 Engineering (Mechanical) or approval from the Head of Faculty.Course Description:
This course is designed to follow on from Level 1 Engineering (Mechanical) and further extend the skill base. The course aims to provide the training required for students to gain entry into Industrial Technologies and to provide knowledge of the careers available in engineering related industries. This is a practical course with theoretical modules to enhance the learning. Students will make a technically challenging project that demands a high standard of workmanship with an accent on precision and determination. Extended work on the machine tools, turning and precision measurements are covered.Unit Standards:
