Physics NCEA Level 2
UE:This subject leads to an approved UE course of study. Standards marked (N) may be used towards meeting the Level 1 Numeracy requirements.
Background:Physics NCEA Level 2 requires skills and knowledge from studying Science NCEA Level 1 or IGCSE Physics. Students need to have passed the L1 Mechanics standard (AS90940) as well as the internal assessment (AS90935) or gained a D or better at IGCSE Physics. If not they must consult with the Faculty Head about their likelihood of success in the Level 2 Physics course.
Course Description:The course covers experimental methods, mechanics, dynamics, circular motion, energy, electricity, electromagnetism, light, waves, atomic and nuclear physics.
