Media Studies NCEA Level 2
UE:This subject leads to an approved UE course of study. Standards marked with (R/W) may be counted towards either (but not both) the Reading or the Writing credits for Literacy.
Background:Completion of Year 11 Media Studies with at least 12 credits achieved (4 of those being from an external standard), or completion of a Year 11 English programme. A good command of written English is beneficial as is a willingness to commit to practical work outside classroom hours.
Course Description:This course is suitable for students who have enjoyed film studies as part of their English course and are interested in developing film making skills. You will explore current media issues and develop skills in teamwork and working to deadlines. This course is essential preparation for Level 3 Media Studies.
