The Drama NCEA Level 2 course develops skills, control and confidence, which are valuable to students in all their studies and in whatever careers they choose to follow. Students will continue to develop drama techniques, improvisation skills, perform in a substantial production and learn to structure and express ideas in written form. Part of the homework associated with drama will be group rehearsal outside of school time. Some assessments will be held after school at a public performance. Several theatre trips will be organised throughout the year. Students will be required to see at least one live performance as preparation for the external examination. Students will be assessed on 4 of the following 9 standards based on their strengths:Achievement Standards:
