Biology NCEA Level 2
UE:This subject leads to an approved UE course of study.
Background:Biology NCEA Level 2 requires skills and knowledge from studying Science NCEA Level 1 or IGCSE Biology. Students need to have passed the L1 Genetics standard (AS90948) as well as the internal assessment (AS90935), or gained a D or better at IGCSE Biology. If not they must consult with the Faculty Head about their likelihood of success in the Level 2 Biology course.
Course Description:This course is designed to build on the knowledge and skills established in Year 11 Science NCEA Level 1 or IGCSE Biology and to lay the foundation for a broad understanding of key ideas and skills in biology.
