Background:

Biology NCEA Level 2 requires skills and knowledge from studying Science NCEA Level 1 or IGCSE Biology. Students who have only 8 to 12 credits at Level 1 or who have not attained credits at Merit or better must consult with the Faculty Head about their likelihood of success in the Level 2 Biology course. (Students must have attained credits in the external Biology standard Science 90948 (1.9) and should also have attained the internal standard Science 90949 (1.10))

Course Description:

This course is designed to build on the knowledge and skills established in Year 11 Science NCEA Level 1 or IGCSE Biology and to lay the foundation for a broad understanding of key ideas and skills in biology.
