Course Description:

The Year 11 Construction programme consists of units from the Building, Construction, and Allied Trades Skills (BCATS). This is a very practical programme, and students develop skills constructing projects to set plans. They complete assessments on safety in the workshop and workshop procedures through constricting basic furniture. Students will demonstrate their competency and be awarded the Unit Standards through written tasks, practical activities and photographic evidence. Please note that the nature of the Standards require large projects to be completed before they can be assessed. Evidence will be gathered throughout the programme, but most units will only be achieved at the conclusion of the course.
