Successful completion of a Year 10 Dance course or previous dance experience with permission from the Faculty Head.Course Description:
This course explores elements of dance, choreographic devices and dance styles through a variety of practical activities. The course emphasizes performance, choreography, understanding and the creating of dance for performance and analysis of dance. There will be an evening of dance where performance works will be showcased. Several optional theatre trips will be organised throughout the year. Students will be required to see at least one live performance as preparation for the external examination. Only 2 of the 3 Internal Standards will be formally assessed, to be determined by the Faculty Head / Teacher in Charge.Achievement Standards:
