Recommended Background:

Biology IGCSE with a Grade B or above. Biology AS requires skills and knowledge from studying Year 11 Biology. Students scoring less than a B or who have not done Biology IGCSE will need to seek approval from the Faculty Head. A ‘Step Up’, self-directed unit will be completed by those who have not done Biology IGCSE.

Course Description:

The syllabus offers a combination of theoretical and practical studies leading to an understanding of the more advanced principles Biology. Students will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Biological concepts and on their experimental and investigative skills.
