Recommended Background:

Open entry allowed for students choosing the CIE pathway who have 70% or more in Year 10 Science. Those falling below this limit, will need to seek advice and gain approval from the Faculty Head. Alternatively they may be able to take the Combined Science IGCSE as part of a CIE programme or Science NCEA Level 1 in the NCEA pathway.

Course Description:

The weightings of the assessment objectives are: a) Knowledge with Understanding - 50% (not more than 25% recall) b) Handling Information and Solving Problems - 30% c) Experimental Skills and Investigations - 20% This course is divided into 8 topics:
