Recommended Background:

Open entry allowed for students choosing the CIE pathway who have 70% or more in Year 10 Science. Those falling below this limit will need to seek advice and gain approval from the Faculty Head. Alternatively they may be able to take the Combined Science IGCSE as part of a CIE programme or Science NCEA Level 1 in the NCEA pathway.

Course Description:

The intention of the core and supplementary topics is to provide students with either a stand-alone, in-depth view of some fundamental biological concepts or a good foundation for progress to AS and A Level.
